When you see someone in your church or community walking through the raw pain of loss, your heart wants to help. You may even recognize that pain from your own experience. Grief can be disorienting—and many people want to help but aren’t sure how.

That’s precisely where GriefShare can help.

GriefShare is a 13-week, Christ-centered support group that offers comfort, understanding, and practical help for people grieving the death of a loved one. Hosted by churches around the world, GriefShare creates a safe space for participants to share their pain, learn biblical truth, and begin to heal.

Today, more than 20,000 churches offer this life-changing ministry—and now, it’s available in Spanish.

Introducing GriefShare en Español

We are thrilled to announce that GriefShare en Español is now shipping!

For the first time, churches can offer the complete GriefShare experience—videos, leader and participant guides, and leader training—entirely in Spanish. This long-awaited resource equips you to serve Spanish-speaking and bilingual individuals in your community with Christ-centered grief support.

If your church has been looking for a trusted Spanish grief support program, this is it.

Why GriefShare en Español matters

The need for grief support is immense. In every community—urban, suburban, or rural—people are silently suffering the loss of a spouse, parent, child, friend, or loved one. Without healthy ways to process grief, they may face depression, isolation, or spiritual struggle.

Many Spanish-speaking and bilingual communities have limited access to faith-based grief resources in Spanish. GriefShare en Español helps bridge that gap by offering comfort and biblical hope in participants’ heart language.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” (2 Corinthians 1:3–5)

By offering GriefShare en Español, your church can extend God’s comfort to even more hurting hearts.

Accurate, meaningful translation

Translated with care—not just word-for-word, but thought-for-thought—a team of bilingual ministry leaders worked to ensure every testimony, teaching, and truth in GriefShare en Español reflects the heart of the original content.

Participants will experience the same Christ-centered guidance that has helped thousands find healing through GriefShare—now entirely in Spanish.

Flexible options for every group

Whether your church is Spanish-speaking, bilingual, or hosts diverse small groups, GriefShare en Español offers flexible options:

  • Spanish voiceovers: Ideal for full-Spanish groups who want to hear every session in their language.
  • Spanish subtitles: Helpful for bilingual or mixed-language groups.
  • Bilingual materials: Provide Spanish workbooks to some participants and English to others. The content is identical.

And when you list your group on the Find a Group tool at GriefShare.org, you can now mark it as “Spanish language,” helping people find you when searching online for Spanish grief support.

Tools and training for Spanish-speaking leaders

GriefShare en Español includes everything you need to lead with confidence:

  • Leader’s Guide in Spanish
  • Online leader training (in Spanish)
  • Participant workbook and session videos
  • Spanish resources in LeaderZone
  • A dedicated webpage for all Spanish materials

You don’t need to be a counselor or expert in grief. GriefShare equips you step by step with everything you need to guide others toward healing.

How a GriefShare group works

Each GriefShare session includes three key elements:

  1. Video seminar: Biblical teaching and real-life stories from people who’ve experienced loss.
  2. Group discussion: A safe place for participants to process and support one another.
  3. Personal reflection: Workbook activities, Scripture, and journaling to deepen healing.

Groups can meet in person, online, or in a hybrid format. Each 13-week cycle covers vital topics, such as:

  • What’s normal in grief
  • How to cope with loneliness, guilt, anger, or fear
  • Why grief feels so unpredictable
  • How to rebuild life and find purpose again
  • Honoring a loved one’s memory while moving forward in hope
